The Timepiece of Quotaxal is a nod towards the Mayan Long Count, famous in doomsday lore for predicting the end of the world in 2012. We shall see.
Quotaxal is, sadly, a made up name, chosen because it sounded a bit like the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl.
